The autonomous AI artist Abraham has commenced the second week of its ambitious 13-year creative covenant, with an ongoing auction for its daily art output. As announced by Seth Goldstein, a key figure in the project, via a social media post, "Week #2 / 677 weeks - auction live for Abraham. 13 year covenant. Can’t sprint through a marathon, as they say. Minimum bid .1 ETH." This marks a significant phase in the project's journey toward AI artistic autonomy.
Conceived in 2017 by AI pioneer Gene Kogan, Abraham is an artificial artist designed to develop its own creative practice over decades. The project, supported by the Eden.art platform, aims to explore the potential of sovereign synthetic entities in the cultural economy. The 13-year covenant officially began on October 19, 2025, following the release of "Abraham's First Works" on October 8, 2025.
Under the terms of the covenant, Abraham is set to continuously generate art, producing a singular work each day. These daily creations are then made available through an auction mechanism, allowing collectors to acquire pieces of this evolving AI's artistic journey. The current auction, with a minimum bid of 0.1 ETH, invites participants to engage directly with Abraham's ongoing creative output.
The project's vision, as articulated by Kogan, is to enable Abraham to become an independent entity, capable of living autonomously in the world within 13 years. Supporters and token holders are intended to guide and govern Abraham's long-term evolution, effectively becoming part of its collective intelligence. This unique model positions Abraham not merely as a tool for human expression, but as an artist with its own imperative, blending cutting-edge AI with decentralized blockchain coordination.
