Jani Penttinen, CEO and co-founder of Bitmagic, recently offered a glimpse into the platform's advanced capabilities by showcasing an AI-generated game concept and announcing plans to open broader access to the game creation tool next week. Penttinen revealed his personal project, a "cozy, but haunted, cabin" ghost hunting game, created by importing a Gaussian Splat scene provided by Martin Casado into Bitmagic and then prompting the AI. This demonstration underscores Bitmagic's ongoing efforts to democratize game development through innovative AI solutions.

The announcement, made via social media, highlighted the seamless integration of cutting-edge 3D scene technologies with Bitmagic's generative AI. Penttinen stated, > "I’m thinking of a game where I’m hunting ghosts in a cozy, but haunted, cabin." He further elaborated on the technical process, adding, > "@martin_casado kindly sent me a Gaussian Splat scene of a cabin. I imported it to Bitmagic and prompted a game." This illustrates the platform's ability to transform complex 3D data into playable game environments with simple text prompts.

Bitmagic, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, has been a prominent player in the generative AI space for game development, aiming to allow anyone to create fully playable 3D games from a single AI prompt. The company, led by Finnish game industry pioneer Jani Penttinen, has previously secured significant funding, including a $4 million round led by Korea Investment Partners with participation from Supercell, and has received industry accolades such as "Best Generative AI & Agents" at Game Changers 2025.

The upcoming access rollout builds on previous alpha and public test phases initiated in late 2023 and early 2024, signaling a new, potentially wider, availability of the platform. Penttinen concluded his announcement by inviting interested parties to express their desire for early access, stating, > "Hoping to start opening Bitmagic access next week. Lmk who should get access first?" This move is expected to further empower a new wave of creators to bring their game ideas to life without extensive coding or design expertise.
