San Francisco, CA – Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE: NET) announced on November 17, 2025, its agreement to acquire Replicate, a leading AI platform designed to simplify the deployment and running of artificial intelligence models for developers. This strategic acquisition aims to significantly bolster Cloudflare's Workers developer platform, positioning it as a premier end-to-end solution for building and scaling AI applications.

Replicate, known for its extensive catalog of over 50,000 production-ready AI models, will continue to operate as a distinct brand, according to a statement from Replicate. The company conveyed its enthusiasm on social media, stating, > "Big news: Replicate is joining Cloudflare. Replicate's going to carry on as a distinct brand, and all that will happen is that it’s going to get way better: it’ll be faster, we’ll have more resources, and it’ll integrate with the rest of Cloudflare’s Developer Platform."

The acquisition is set to integrate Replicate's vast model library and developer community with Cloudflare's global network and serverless inference platform. Matthew Prince, co-founder and CEO of Cloudflare, emphasized the goal of abstracting infrastructure complexities, stating, "With Replicate, developers will be able to discover any model they want from one of the industry’s largest catalogs, deploy it instantly on Cloudflare’s global network, and build an entire full-stack application in one place." Existing Replicate users can expect their APIs and workflows to continue uninterrupted, benefiting from Cloudflare's enhanced performance and reliability.

For Cloudflare Workers AI users, the acquisition promises a substantial expansion of the model catalog and new capabilities, including the ability to run fine-tuned and custom models directly on the platform. Ben Firshman, co-founder and CEO of Replicate, highlighted the shared mission, noting, "Replicate was founded on the mission to solve that—to build the fundamental tools that make AI development truly accessible and easy." The deal is expected to close within the next two months, subject to customary closing conditions.
