Rapper and television personality Flavor Flav has officially joined the USA Bobsled and Skeleton teams as their official sponsor and hype man for the upcoming Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The announcement, made on October 27, 2025, sees the Public Enemy co-founder extending his high-energy support to winter sports after a notable presence at the Paris 2024 Summer Games. Flavor Flav himself confirmed the news via social media, stating, "> Here we come Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina 2026. PROUD Official Sponsor, Hype Man, and Member of the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Team. #Olympics #CoolestRunnings."

This new role follows his enthusiastic support for the USA women's water polo team at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where he gained significant attention as an unofficial hype man. Beyond his vocal encouragement, Flavor Flav has also provided financial backing to Olympic athletes, demonstrating a consistent commitment to American sports. His involvement aims to bring increased visibility and financial support to the often underfunded Olympic programs.

To fully embrace his new position, Flavor Flav recently visited Utah Olympic Park, where he donned a stars-and-strips racing suit and helmet. He successfully completed a skeleton run, reaching speeds of 106 kilometers per hour (66 miles per hour), and also experienced a passenger bobsleigh ride. He was joined by members of the band Maroon 5 during the bobsleigh experience, later treating several athletes to a surprise concert.

Aron McGuire, CEO of USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS), expressed enthusiasm for the partnership. "We are thrilled to welcome Flavor Flav as an official sponsor and hype man for USA Bobsled/Skeleton," McGuire stated, highlighting Flav's genuine passion for sports and the USA team. Flavor Flav himself emphasized his mission, stating, "My mission is to be their official hype man and push them into the direction of getting those medals."

Flavor Flav plans to be present in Milan-Cortina for the duration of the 2026 Winter Olympics, providing direct support to the athletes. He hopes his involvement will inspire other celebrities to step up and sponsor Olympic teams, thereby boosting attention and funding for these sports. Referencing the iconic film, he dubbed this new venture "Coolest Runnings," signaling his dedication to the team's success.
