NFL Network's popular morning show, "Good Morning Football" (GMFB), officially relaunched on Monday, July 29, marking a significant new chapter for the Emmy Award-winning program. The show has moved its primary production from New York City to state-of-the-art studios in Inglewood, California, ushering in an era of bicoastal broadcasting and expanded content.

The relocation to Los Angeles brings GMFB to a new, larger studio environment, a notable departure from its previous New York City set. Angela Ellis, NFL Media Vice President of Original Content and Entertainment, highlighted the new home's advanced resources and space designed to enhance the hosts' signature segments and dynamic takes on the game.

The core cast sees the return of veteran co-hosts Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, and Peter Schrager. They are joined by new additions, NFL Legend Akbar Gbajabiamila and news reporter Sherree Burruss. Gbajabiamila, who previously served as an NFL Network analyst from 2012 to 2019, replaces former defensive back Jason McCourty, who departed the show.

Despite the West Coast move, Kyle Brandt and Peter Schrager will maintain a bicoastal presence, primarily broadcasting remotely from New York. Brandt reassured fans that while the physical location has changed, the show's beloved essence will remain. > "We didn’t break it. We’re not going to change it. Once the talking starts, you’re gonna get real familiar with it fast," Brandt told Deadline.

In addition to the main NFL Network broadcast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET, GMFB has launched a new two-hour extension titled "GMFB: Overtime." This new segment streams live on The Roku Channel from 10 a.m. to noon ET, offering further discussion on game topics, as well as the entertainment and lifestyle surrounding the NFL. "GMFB: Overtime" is positioned as the first nationally syndicated sports TV talk show to stream on The Roku Channel.

The relaunch signifies the NFL Network's strategic evolution for "Good Morning Football," aiming to reach wider audiences and provide more comprehensive coverage of the league. The blend of familiar faces, new talent, and innovative broadcasting models sets the stage for the program's continued influence in NFL media.
