Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Achieves Industry-First IP68 Dust and Water Resistance

Google officially unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, at the Made by Google event in New York City on August 20, 2025. The device was a highlight among several new hardware announcements, including the Pixel 10 series, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a, all heavily emphasizing Google's advanced AI capabilities. Powering the new foldable is Google's custom-built Tensor G5 chip, manufactured on a 3nm process, paired with 16GB of RAM. This new chipset promises significant performance improvements, including a 25% faster CPU and a 60% increase in TPU performance for on-device AI tasks. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold integrates a suite of AI-powered features such as Magic Cue for smart information retrieval, a camera coach for improved photography, and Gemini Live for enhanced real-time interactions.
