Lewiston, Idaho – Kobie Olson, an 18-year-old bull rider from Cascade, Idaho, secured the championship title at the Lewiston Roundup Xtreme Bulls event on September 3, 2025, with an impressive 91-point ride on the bull Total Air. The event, a significant stop on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Xtreme Bulls tour, drew a large crowd and featured top talent vying for a substantial prize purse. Rookie sensation Lane Vaughan also delivered a notable performance, initially leading Section 2 with an 89-point score.

Vaughan, currently ranked No. 6 in the Resistol Rookie Race, leveraged his recent momentum at the Lewiston event. The Oregon native has been making a strong push in the rookie standings, previously noted for high-scoring rides such as an 88.5-point ride at the Red Bluff Round-Up and an 88-point ride at the San Angelo Cinch Chute Out earlier in the 2025 season. His consistent performances have positioned him as a rising star in professional bull riding.

During the Lewiston Roundup Xtreme Bulls, Vaughan executed an 89-point ride aboard the National Finals Rodeo bull, Silver Bullet. "I've been wanting that bull for a long time. I was super stoked when I saw my name beside his. Everyone wants that bull," Vaughan stated, according to the Lewiston Tribune. His ride initially put him in a leading position in his section, showcasing his skill and determination against elite bucking stock.

However, the competition intensified as the event progressed. While Vaughan's 89 points were strong, the ultimate victory went to Olson, whose 91-point ride on Total Air earned him the top prize of over $10,000. Qynn Andersen of Australia and Bryce Jensen of Texas also surpassed Vaughan's score, both achieving 89.5 points.
