Lil Nas X, the Grammy-winning rapper known for "Old Town Road," was hospitalized and arrested early Thursday morning in Los Angeles following a bizarre incident on Ventura Boulevard. Video obtained by TMZ Hip Hop showed the artist, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, "nearly naked, and floating aimlessly down Ventura Blvd at 4 AM," according to an AZ Intel tweet. He was reportedly seen wearing only underwear and cowboy boots, exhibiting erratic behavior. Pasersby recorded the 26-year-old, with the tweet noting he "repeatedly pointed at the camera and muttered something about heading to a party -- and at one point, he placed an orange traffic cone on his head." Multiple residents in Studio City called police to report a nude man in the street, prompting a law enforcement response. Upon arrival, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers encountered Lil Nas X. According to law enforcement sources, he allegedly "charged at officers" before being subdued and placed in handcuffs. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer. Paramedics were called to the scene, and authorities transported Lil Nas X to a local hospital for treatment, suspecting a possible overdose. While he remains under medical care, officials indicate he could still face charges related to the incident. His representatives have not yet issued a public statement regarding the events. The incident follows recent unusual social media activity from the artist, including posts showing a messy house and captions hinting at distress. In April, Lil Nas X had also revealed a hospitalization for partial facial paralysis. He rose to international fame with his 2018 hit "Old Town Road," which broke Billboard Hot 100 records.
