Shenzhen, China – LimX Dynamics, a prominent Chinese robotics firm, has showcased its OLi humanoid robot navigating rough terrain with advanced whole-body loco-manipulation and active perception capabilities. The demonstration highlights the robot's ability to dynamically respond to its environment using onboard sensors and AI perception, marking a significant step in embodied AI.

The OLi robot, standing 165cm tall and weighing 55kg, is equipped with 31 degrees of freedom and advanced sensory systems, including self-developed IMU and depth cameras. These features enable it to perform complex movements such as walking, bending, and squatting with precision, as observed in recent demonstrations. LimX Dynamics aims for OLi to bridge the gap between traditional robotic arms and full-body adaptable automation.

"China's LimX Dynamics’ OLi on rough terrain. An example of Whole-Body Loco-Manipulation with Active Perception - allows OLi to walk & bend with precision, using its onboard sensors and AI perception to dynamically respond to its environment in real time," stated Rohan Paul on social media.

Launched in July 2025, OLi is designed as a general-purpose humanoid robot targeting AI researchers, robotics developers, and system integrators. It is available in Lite, EDU, and Super editions, with prices starting around $21,800 (RMB 158,000) in Mainland China. The robot's modular hardware and software architecture, along with an open SDK, facilitate algorithm research and real-world deployment.

LimX Dynamics, founded in 2022, focuses on advancing embodied AI systems and general artificial intelligence (AGI). The company has previously garnered attention for OLi's demonstrations of picking up tennis balls, performing dance routines, and full-body stretches, underscoring its versatility and human-like agility. This latest display on rough terrain further solidifies OLi's position as a leader in the evolving humanoid robotics landscape.
