LlamaIndex to Showcase Document Agent Innovations at AWS Agentic AI Event in San Francisco

San Francisco – LlamaIndex, a leading platform for building AI agents over proprietary data, is set to participate in the inaugural "Agentic AI In Action AWS Partner Showcase" on August 26 at 9:30 AM PT. The event, hosted at the AWS Builder’s Loft in San Francisco, will highlight the practical applications and future of agentic AI.

George He, Head of Platform Engineering at LlamaIndex, will deliver a talk titled "Building Document Agents with LlamaIndex: Effective Design Patterns." This presentation will delve into how LlamaIndex's technology enables the creation of sophisticated AI agents capable of processing and understanding complex documents.

LlamaIndex, founded in 2023, has rapidly emerged as a key player in the generative AI landscape, focusing on connecting custom data sources to large language models (LLMs). The company recently secured $19 million in a Series A funding round led by Norwest Venture Partners, with participation from Greylock, bringing its total funding to $27.5 million. This investment aims to accelerate the development of its core generative AI agent development platform.

The company's offerings, including LlamaCloud and LlamaParse, are designed to automate knowledge work over unstructured enterprise data, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of AI agents. LlamaCloud, a commercial knowledge management platform, provides an end-to-end solution for building Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) applications, from data ingestion to agent deployment.

The AWS Partner Showcase underscores the growing importance of agentic AI, which refers to AI systems capable of independent, adaptive, and goal-oriented activities. AWS is actively fostering this ecosystem, offering services like Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to help developers build and deploy effective AI agents at scale.
