BNB Chain has announced the appointment of Nina Rong as its new Executive Director of Growth, a strategic move aimed at bolstering the network's global leadership and accelerating ecosystem development. The announcement, initially shared by Cointelegraph, detailed Rong's mandate to lead ecosystem expansion, developer support, and global outreach for one of the world's largest blockchain ecosystems. This appointment signifies BNB Chain's commitment to further scaling its presence and user base in the Web3 space.
In her new capacity, Rong will oversee BNB Chain's growth strategy across three core pillars: Ecosystem Growth & Talent, Developer Relations, and Global Expansion. Her responsibilities include attracting top-tier builders and partners, expanding programs to support developers through tooling, education, and grants, and strengthening BNB Chain’s footprint in key emerging markets. The move is expected to enhance the platform's efforts to onboard the next generation of Web3 users and projects.
Rong brings extensive experience in scaling global Web3 ecosystems and leading high-impact partnership strategies. She previously served as Head of Partnerships at the Arbitrum Foundation, where she was instrumental in driving network growth and ecosystem initiatives. Prior to that, she led regional partnerships at Offchain Labs, supporting its early expansion and onboarding developers across Asia.
"I’m honored to join the mission to onboard the next billion users to web3. BNB Chain has the scale, community, and technology to empower builders to make liquidity truly accessible to everyone," stated Nina Rong, Executive Director of Growth at BNB Chain. Changpeng Zhao (CZ), a core contributor at BNB Chain, echoed this sentiment, adding, "BNB Chain is entering a new chapter of growth, and I am looking forward to welcoming Nina to the team. Under her leadership, BNB Chain is doubling down on the commitment to make liquidity discovery more accessible for the next billion Web3 users."
BNB Chain, known for its high throughput, low transaction costs, and EVM compatibility, powers scalable applications across finance, gaming, and the broader Web3 economy. Rong's appointment underscores the network's continued investment in long-term ecosystem development as it advances new frontiers in on-chain finance, infrastructure, and consumer applications.
