London-based tech firm Nothing officially unveiled its new Phone (3a) Lite on October 29, 2025, positioning it as an entry-level, high-powered device designed to expand the brand's reach to a wider customer base. The smartphone, which starts at €249/£249 for the 8GB/128GB variant, aims to deliver Nothing's signature aesthetic and user experience at a more accessible price point. "Packing all the familiar Nothing tech tropes into a low-cost, high-powered device, the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite should open up the brand to even more customers," noted technology publication Wallpaper* in a recent post.

The Phone (3a) Lite features a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, protected by Panda Glass. Powering the device is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of expandable storage. It runs on Nothing OS 3.5, based on Android 15, with the company promising three major Android updates and six years of security support.

For optics, the new handset sports a triple-rear camera setup, headlined by a 50-megapixel main Samsung sensor with OIS, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. A 16-megapixel front camera handles selfies. The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 33W wired charging, and it carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

While retaining Nothing's transparent design, the Phone (3a) Lite simplifies the iconic Glyph Interface to a single LED "Glyph Light" for notifications, a strategic move to manage costs. The device is available in black and white colorways and is launching globally, with sales commencing in select markets immediately, though a US release is not planned. This launch marks Nothing's first use of the "Lite" branding, aiming to capture the budget segment below its Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro models.
