Remix, the AI-powered gaming platform, has officially launched the initial layer of its new "Remix economy" on the Base blockchain, promising a significant shift in creator monetization. The new economic model features a highly favorable 90/10 revenue split for game developers, coupled with on-chain payment rails and instant withdrawal capabilities. This development, announced by Remix on social media, aims to provide unprecedented financial flexibility for creators.

The cornerstone of this new economy is "Boosts," a mechanism designed to enhance game visibility and reward early supporters. "Each boost is a transaction on Base," Remix stated in its announcement, detailing that games receiving boosts gain increased discovery within the platform's algorithm, and players are awarded a collectible border. This system is intended to foster a competitive environment where quality content is prioritized over sheer volume.

Remix, formerly known as Farcade, operates as an AI-driven platform built on Base, enabling users to create games using natural language prompts without extensive coding knowledge. The company previously secured $6.75 million in seed funding and has established integrations with Web3 identity and social platforms like Farcaster and World App. Leveraging Base's low transaction fees and high throughput, Remix aims to facilitate a seamless and efficient creator economy.

Future enhancements to the Remix economy are set to include custom achievements exclusively unlockable by boosters, gated characters and content, and comprehensive cosmetic marketplaces. These planned features are designed to deepen engagement and provide diverse earning opportunities for game creators. To celebrate the launch, Remix is sponsoring a $100 tournament for up to 20 games that accumulate over $100 in boosts within the next seven days, with the tournaments scheduled to run from December 5th to 8th.
