Replit, the collaborative AI-powered coding platform, has announced it has surpassed $100 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). This significant milestone represents a remarkable tenfold increase from the $10 million ARR reported at the end of 2024, solidifying its position in the rapidly expanding AI developer tools market. The achievement was shared by founder and CEO Amjad Masad, with Michele Catasta, a prominent figure at the company, reflecting on the journey.

Catasta emphasized the personal significance of the milestone, stating, > "$100M ARR is not only proof of how much @Replit grew thanks to our users, but also a constant reminder of how important our company mission is." He described this achievement as the "unicorn I chased my entire career — building 'something that matters' to as many people as possible." The company's growth has been largely attributed to its strategic integration of AI, particularly the Replit Agent launched in September 2024, which enables users to build software using natural language prompts.

Replit’s financial discipline is also notable; the company still holds over half its funding from its last round in 2023, which valued it at $1.1 billion, indicating a sustainable product-led growth model. This growth contrasts with a "grow at all costs" mentality seen elsewhere in the tech industry. The platform's all-in-one approach, allowing developers to conceive, write, deploy, and host applications within a single browser environment, has appealed to a wide range of users, from large enterprises like Zillow and HubSpot to individual developers.

The company's vision extends to democratizing software creation, aiming for "1 billion developers" by making coding accessible to every knowledge worker. Catasta articulated this ambition, stating, "My vision is for us to evolve into the ultimate productivity tool, far more powerful than Excel — I’ll be relentless until we hit 1B MAU." Replit is actively expanding its team, hiring across various roles to support its continued growth and ambitious future plans in the evolving landscape of AI-driven software development.
