Felipe Chávez, CEO and founder of Robot.com, announced a significant milestone for the company, formerly known as Kiwibot, with the launch of four new robots and a mission to "Build for now, not someday." This announcement signals a strategic shift towards providing practical, real-world automation solutions for immediate deployment across various industries. The company has already demonstrated substantial operational success, completing over 1.7 million real-world tasks with its existing fleet.

The rebrand from Kiwibot to Robot.com marks a pivotal expansion for the company, which originated as a campus food delivery service. What began with a single delivery robot in 2016 has evolved into one of the most active robot fleets globally, now operating over 500 robots across multiple countries. This evolution reflects a broader vision to move beyond experimental prototypes to proven, scalable automation infrastructure.

Robot.com's new mission, "Build for now, not someday," underscores its commitment to delivering purpose-built robots that solve current business challenges. "Yesterday, we made the biggest announcement in our company's history," Chávez stated in a recent social media post, highlighting the launch of "4 Robots and 1 Mission." This pragmatic approach has already led to major enterprise partnerships with industry leaders such as Sodexo, IBM, and GXO.

The newly introduced robots are designed for diverse applications, including delivery, warehouse logistics, advertising, security, inspection, and kitchen automation. The company's fleet-based strategy enables businesses to rapidly deploy robotic solutions at scale, addressing immediate operational needs and labor shortages. Notably, Robot.com has also integrated advertising capabilities into its fleet following the acquisition of Nickelytics, transforming its robots into mobile advertising platforms.

Robot.com's technology delivers autonomous robots with Level 4 autonomy, ensuring efficiency and precision in both controlled and complex urban environments. The company's track record, including its partnership with Sodexo since 2021 for campus deliveries, demonstrates its ability to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction. With its expanded focus, Robot.com is poised to capture a significant share of the rapidly growing global robotics market, which is projected to reach approximately $370 billion by 2040.
