Sam E. Antar, a well-known whistleblower and forensic accountant, has publicly stated that he has submitted "a dozen whistleblower submissions" to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) targeting billionaire George Soros and his network of "nonprofits." Antar, who gained prominence for his role in exposing the Crazy Eddie fraud, alleged that these organizations operate as a "tax-exempt shell game" and a "political laundromat."

"The IRS already has everything I’ve given them on George Soros and his little tax-exempt shell game. I’ve filed a dozen whistleblower submissions on Soros and his network of 'nonprofits' that operate like a political laundromat. And I’m not done. More exposés are loading," Antar stated on social media.

George Soros, through his Open Society Foundations (OSF), is a prominent figure in global philanthropy, supporting civil society groups focused on justice, education, and independent media. However, his foundations have frequently faced scrutiny and criticism, particularly from conservative factions, regarding their extensive political influence and funding of various advocacy organizations worldwide.

Tax-exempt organizations in the United States, such as 501(c)(3) public charities and 501(c)(4) social welfare groups, are subject to strict IRS regulations concerning their political activities. While 501(c)(3) organizations are severely restricted from engaging in political campaign intervention, 501(c)(4) groups can undertake more lobbying and political advocacy, provided it does not constitute their primary purpose and does not benefit private interests.

Antar's background as a convicted felon turned whistleblower and forensic accounting expert lends a unique dimension to his claims. He has a history of assisting federal authorities in prosecuting white-collar crimes, often leveraging his intricate understanding of financial fraud. The IRS Whistleblower Program allows individuals to report tax fraud and evasion, potentially receiving a percentage of recovered taxes if the information leads to successful enforcement actions.

The allegations, if substantiated, could prompt further IRS scrutiny into the operational and financial practices of the entities named. However, the IRS typically refrains from commenting on specific ongoing investigations or whistleblower submissions, maintaining confidentiality regarding such matters. Antar's declaration of "More exposés are loading" suggests a continued effort to bring attention to his claims against Soros's network.
