Amplitude, the leading digital analytics platform, has experienced a significant increase in inbound inquiries from companies looking to be acquired, with CEO Spenser Skates reporting 5-6 such approaches per week since the beginning of 2025. This surge in interest highlights a potentially robust M&A environment and Amplitude's strong market position.

"We're getting 5-6 inbounds per week looking to sell their companies to Amplitude. It's a big increase since the start of this year," Skates stated in a recent social media post. He also offered direct advice to potential sellers, emphasizing, "If you are looking to sell your company - please don't use a banker! Those go straight to the trash.

This strong stance against investment bankers suggests a preference for direct negotiations, potentially streamlining the acquisition process and reducing associated fees. Amplitude has demonstrated an active acquisition strategy, notably acquiring Kraftful, an AI-native Voice of Customer (VoC) startup, in July 2025 to enhance its AI capabilities. The company has made a total of four acquisitions, with a focus on MarketingTech, Generative AI, and Customer Success Management.

The observed increase in acquisition interest aligns with broader market trends. Analysts predict an optimistic M&A landscape for 2025, driven by factors such as anticipated lower interest rates, strategic adaptation needs, and strong equity markets. Amplitude's robust financial performance, including a 16% year-over-year increase in Annual Recurring Revenue to $335 million in Q2 2025, positions it as an attractive acquirer in the digital analytics space.

Spenser Skates, as co-founder and CEO, has consistently guided Amplitude's strategic direction, focusing on product innovation and market leadership. The company has recently launched new AI-powered features and expanded its enterprise marketing capabilities, further solidifying its competitive edge. This strategic growth, coupled with a favorable M&A market, likely contributes to the heightened inbound acquisition interest Amplitude is currently experiencing.
