New York – Etherealize, a company focused on integrating Wall Street with the Ethereum blockchain, announced the successful closing of a $40 million funding round. The investment was led by prominent venture capital firms Electric Capital and Paradigm, marking a significant step in the company's mission to modernize traditional financial systems. This funding follows an earlier grant received from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and the Ethereum Foundation in 2024.

The company, launched in January 2025, aims to develop products and infrastructure that will enable institutional trading, settlement, and privacy systems on the Ethereum network. As stated in a recent social media post, "Etherealize is building the products and infrastructure that will rewire Wall Street with Ethereum as the backbone." The firm emphasizes that the current period presents an unparalleled opportunity to onboard global financial institutions onto blockchain technology.

Etherealize's strategic focus includes building zero-knowledge (zk) privacy infrastructure for tokenized asset trading, an optimized settlement engine for institutional workflows, and a suite of applications for tokenized fixed income markets. Co-founder and President Danny Ryan highlighted the significance of the funding, stating it "kicks off the ‘Institutional Merge'—upgrading institutional finance to modern, safer, globally accessible rails." The company seeks to address the inefficiencies of legacy systems, where settlement can take days and capital often remains trapped.

The leadership team comprises Wall Street veterans and seasoned Ethereum engineers, including CEO Vivek Raman, President Danny Ryan, Grant Hummer, and Zach Obront. Vivek Raman noted, "After hundreds of conversations with banks and institutions, one thing is clear: the future of finance will be built on Ethereum." He added that the funding will accelerate the development of institutional-grade infrastructure, positioning Etherealize as a key player in institutional blockchain adoption.

Ethereum's ecosystem already handles 95% of all stablecoin volume and 82% of tokenized real-world assets, demonstrating its growing role in global finance. Etherealize's efforts are expected to further solidify Ethereum's position as the foundational layer for a more programmable, private, and global financial future. The company continues to engage with major financial institutions, policymakers, and regulators to drive the adoption of Ethereum-based solutions.
