This project marks Brian's first full-length studio album in six years, following his 2019 release "The Sailor" and the 2022 EP "Brightside," and is described as a deeply personal and self-directed work.

Originally slated for a May 23, 2025, release, the album's launch was postponed to allow Brian more time for completion and refinement. "I realized that I have so many stories that are so unique to my life that I haven’t told," Brian shared in an interview, emphasizing the deeply personal nature of the work. The project arrives after a significant period of introspection and artistic growth for the 25-year-old artist.

"WHERE IS MY HEAD?" is largely self-produced and delves into profound themes of heartbreak, healing, ambition, alienation, and the ongoing search for identity. The 15-track album introduces a unique conceptual framework, featuring two versions of Brian: Maestro, a conductor, and Movie Brian, who lives unknowingly within the world Maestro creates. This dual narrative is explored through the music and accompanying visuals, offering an immersive experience.

The album features collaborations with a diverse array of artists, including Toro y Moi on "Body High," Ski Mask The Slump God on "Jumpy," Maxo Kream on "Fat Cats, Starving Dogs," redveil on "Bumpy Road," Charlotte Day Wilson and DAISY WORLD on "Is It?," and Kurtis Wells on "She." Prior to the album's full release, singles like "Little Ray of Light" and "She" offered a glimpse into Brian's evolving sound and lyrical depth.

Critics and fans have noted "WHERE IS MY HEAD?" as Brian's most vulnerable and mature work to date, showcasing a refined blend of alternative hip-hop with introspective lyricism. His journey from an internet personality to a respected and authentic artist is further solidified, with the album reflecting his desire to redefine success on his own terms and deepen his connection with his global fanbase. The project is seen as a testament to his enhanced artistic control and authenticity.
