Los Angeles, CA – A 45-year-old homeless man was shot during an attempted robbery in his tent overnight in the East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles. Authorities responded to reports of the shooting on the 4600 block of Santa Monica Boulevard around 2:20 a.m. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) spokesperson, two suspects made contact with the man inside his tent. The assailants then demanded property from the victim. During the confrontation, one of the suspects discharged a firearm, striking the man several times before both individuals fled the scene on foot.
