Alejandro Rosales Castillo, listed among the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, remains at large with a standing reward of $250,000 for information leading to his arrest. Castillo is sought in connection with the alleged 2016 murder of his co-worker, Truc Quan “Sandy” Ly Le, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The FBI continues to caution the public that Castillo "SHOULD BE CONSIDERED ARMED AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS."

The investigation indicates that Castillo, then 17, had borrowed money from 23-year-old Ly Le. Text messages revealed Castillo arranged to meet Ly Le on August 9, 2016, in Charlotte, purportedly to repay the loan. Instead, authorities believe Castillo forced Ly Le to withdraw money from her bank account before allegedly shooting her in the head and abandoning her body in a wooded area of Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

Following the alleged murder, Castillo fled with Ahmia Feaster, another co-worker, in Ly Le's vehicle. Ly Le's car was discovered abandoned at a bus station in Phoenix, Arizona, on August 15, 2016. Surveillance footage captured Castillo crossing the U.S. border into Mexico from Nogales, Arizona, on August 16, 2016, and he has not been seen since.

Castillo's last known residence was in Charlotte, North Carolina, and he has known ties to Phoenix, Arizona. Investigators believe he may be residing in the Mexican states of Aguascalientes, specifically San Francisco de los Romo or Pabellón de Arteaga, or potentially Guanajuato or Veracruz. Feaster later surrendered to authorities in Mexico and was extradited to the U.S., where she faced charges related to the case.

The FBI describes Castillo, who would now be 26 years old, as appearing white and Hispanic, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, and fluent in both Spanish and English. While his appearance may have changed since 2016, the FBI emphasizes the gravity of the crime he is accused of committing. The substantial reward underscores the bureau's ongoing commitment to bringing Castillo to justice and providing closure for Ly Le's family.
