Marseille, France – French beauty and fashion influencer Soraya Riffy, 30, was brutally attacked and left disfigured during a home invasion at her Marseille residence on July 4, 2025. Three armed men gained entry by posing as a neighbor, subsequently tying her up, beating her, dousing her in bleach, and allegedly sexually assaulting her. The assailants fled with luxury items, including a Rolex watch and a Cartier bracelet.

The horrific incident occurred after one of the attackers tricked Ms. Riffy into opening her door, claiming he had lost his keys. Once inside, he was joined by two other armed individuals who subjected her to a prolonged assault lasting over an hour and a half. Ms. Riffy's lawyer, Tom Michel, stated via Instagram that she was "kidnapped, assaulted and molested," and that her "body is a crime scene."

Ms. Riffy sustained severe injuries, including facial fractures, a broken nose, and a concussion, and is reportedly psychologically "destroyed." Speaking to Le Parisien, she expressed her trauma, stating, "I'm disfigured, disgusted and frightened. Too much media exposure leads to danger." She has announced plans to leave Marseille permanently and step away from social media following the ordeal.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, with charges including armed robbery, kidnapping, death threats, and gang violence. It has been revealed that Ms. Riffy had received threatening emails from her alleged abductors two weeks prior to the attack and had reportedly alerted police multiple times.

The attack on the influencer, who boasts over one million followers and gained prominence after appearing on a French talk show in 2016, has ignited a broader discussion online regarding safety concerns in European cities. Social media users, including Michael McCarthy, questioned the security landscape, tweeting, "Is Europe turning into the third world?" as the community grapples with the implications of such a violent crime.
