Questflow Secures $6.5 Million Seed Funding to Advance AI Agent Economy

San Francisco-based Questflow, a company focused on building the foundational infrastructure for the burgeoning AI Agent Economy, has successfully closed a $6.5 million seed funding round. The investment was led by CyberFund, as announced by the firm on social media, stating, > "We are proud to announce our investment in @Questflow, the company building the protocol for the new Agent Economy. They create the essential infrastructure for AI agents to collaborate, transact, and perform complex work autonomously."

The funding round saw significant participation from a diverse group of investors, including Delphi Labs, Systemic Ventures, Eden Block, White Star Capital, Web3.com, Animoca Brands, HashKey Capital, Wagmi Ventures, ElizaOS, the Tezos Foundation, and CatcherVC. Additionally, Questflow received grants from Aptos, the Coinbase Developer Platform, and Virtuals Protocol, underscoring broad confidence in its vision for decentralized AI.

Questflow's core innovation is its Multi-Agent Orchestration Protocol (MAOP), designed to enable autonomous AI agents to communicate, coordinate tasks, and conduct transactions with each other in real-time, all on-chain. This protocol addresses the current limitations of AI agents, which often operate in siloed, stateless, and off-chain environments. Bob Xu, co-founder and CEO of Questflow, articulated the company's ambition, stating, "Our vision is simple: to create an AI agent economy for every workflow."

The MAOP facilitates both task orchestration, allowing AI agent swarms to execute complex, multi-step tasks across Web2 and Web3 applications, and token orchestration, equipping each agent with a wallet for real-time, agent-to-agent micropayments on-chain. This dual functionality aims to create self-compensating and scalable workflows without constant manual intervention. The company, founded in 2022 by Bob Xu, has already garnered attention, being featured by entities like a16z, Cohere, and MongoDB, and selected for Google for Startups.
